German legal entity: meetyoo conferencing GmbH, Friedrichstraße 153a, 10117 Berlin, named as controller in the privacy policy, with an external Data Protection Officer, Deutsche Datenschutz Consult GmbH, Stresemannstr. 29, 22769 Hamburg, read raw 2026-09-07. PARTIAL rather than COMPLIANT specifically because of a marketing/documentation mismatch: MEETYOO's own marketing states the Show product is 'the only enterprise webinar platform fully developed in Germany' with 'no CLOUD Act exposure' and hosting 'exclusively' in Germany, but the MEETYOO Pro & Show privacy policy itself names Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (Luxembourg) as event-hosting subcontractor operating the Frankfurt AWS data centre, and describes the transfer safeguard as an agreement with Amazon Web Services, Inc., the US parent, including SCCs. About MEETYOO
An Old German Webinar Platform, With a Marketing Claim Worth Checking
MEETYOO has been operating since 1999, well before "GDPR-compliant" was a category, and its client list is enterprise-grade: SAP, L'Oréal, Mercedes-Benz and Siemens Energy. Its pitch against Zoom Webinars leans heavily on sovereignty: marketing copy describes MEETYOO Show as "the only enterprise webinar platform fully developed in Germany," ISO 27001-certified, hosted on servers in Germany, with no CLOUD Act exposure.
That last claim did not survive a read of the vendor's own privacy policy.
What the Privacy Policy Actually Says
The MEETYOO Pro & Show privacy policy names a subcontractor for hosting events:
Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (AWS), 38 avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg ("AWS") as a further subcontractor and data recipient for hosting the event, including providing the "Event Guru" AI service (AI assistant) in the AWS data center in Frankfurt.
And the transfer safeguard it describes is an agreement with the US parent, not just the Luxembourg subsidiary:
Amazon Web Services, Inc. including the EU standard contractual clauses.
Amazon Web Services, Inc. is a US company. The US CLOUD Act reaches data a US company physically holds regardless of which region that data sits in, so event data does carry CLOUD Act exposure, even though the data centre itself is genuinely in Frankfurt and the entity signing the local contract is a Luxembourg one. This is precisely the trap this directory's compliance process is built to catch: a marketing claim of "no CLOUD Act exposure" that the vendor's own legal documents contradict. It does not make MEETYOO worse than most of its competitors, most of whom run on AWS or Azure too, but it does make the specific "no CLOUD Act exposure" claim inaccurate as written.

Where It Fits
Against Zoom Webinars, MEETYOO's German entity and Frankfurt hosting are real, but the CLOUD Act exposure from its AWS subcontractor means the sovereignty pitch should be read as "EU-hosted, US-processor" rather than "no US exposure."
