TuCalendi
Partially CompliantSpanish appointment-scheduling tool for freelancers and SMEs from Appload Solutions S.L. in Tenerife, with a free tier and a thin, dated privacy policy that undercuts its own "GDPR compliant" badge.

How we reached this
Spanish legal entity: Appload Solutions S.L., Calle Bethencourt Alfonso 33, 7º, 38002 Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, named as the responsible party in the privacy policy and as site operator in the terms and conditions, both read raw 2026-09-07. Terms governed by Spanish law, courts at the company's seat as venue. gdprStatus PARTIAL rather than COMPLIANT: the site displays a 'GDPR compliant' badge in its marketing chrome and is promoted via a partner listing as reinforcing 'its GDPR approach', but the privacy policy text itself cites only the pre-GDPR Spanish 'Ley Orgánica 15/1999, de 13 de diciembre, de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal', never mentions the GDPR, the current LOPDGDD 3/2018, a DPA, named sub-processors, or any international-transfer safeguard. dataHostingLocation and extraterritorialExposure are UNKNOWN rather than assumed EU, because no hosting provider or region is named anywhere in either document, despite third-party marketing describing servers in Spain/Germany; that claim could not be verified in TuCalendi's own legal documents. dpaEvidence NOT_LOCATED: searched, no DPA document or 'available on request' statement found. schremsIIRisk UNKNOWN and sccInPlace false for the same reason: no transfer mechanism is described at all, so none can be verified as in place.
About TuCalendi
A Small, EU-Funded Scheduling Tool
TuCalendi is a modest but genuinely European alternative to Calendly, built by Appload Solutions S.L., a company registered in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. The footer of its own site discloses that the project was co-funded (85%) by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) under the Canary Islands' 2014-2020 operational programme, which is unusual transparency for a small SaaS vendor and worth crediting.
What It Does
- Online Scheduling: customer-facing booking pages, available 24/7
- Smart Routing Forms: route bookers to the right meeting type
- Calendar: all meetings and appointments in one place
- Browser Extensions: for scheduling directly from the browser
- Google Calendar sync, custom sub-domains, and API access on paid tiers
Pricing
Basic is free forever, for personal use with one Events Hub, one Google Calendar connection, and unlimited meeting types. Pro, aimed at freelancers and teams, is €8.00/month per seat billed annually (€96/year), or €288 for three years under a "pay 2 years, get 1 free" offer; it adds multiple Events Hubs, CNAME support, multiple calendar and payment integrations. Enterprise is custom-priced, for large organisations needing multibranding, multiple sub-domains and additional setup.
The Compliance Picture Is Thin
TuCalendi's marketing carries a "GDPR compliant" badge and the site markets itself, via a partner listing, as "a European online booking software" reinforcing "its GDPR approach". The actual privacy policy does not back that up. It:
- Cites the pre-GDPR Spanish data protection act, Ley Orgánica 15/1999, rather than the GDPR itself or the current Spanish implementing law (LOPDGDD 3/2018)
- Names no hosting provider or server region anywhere in the text
- Never mentions a DPA, sub-processors, or an international-transfer safeguard of any kind
- Is otherwise a short, generic template covering registration data, analytics, and a right-of-access clause
None of that makes TuCalendi non-compliant; a small company can be perfectly lawful without publishing a detailed policy. But the marketing claim of a considered "GDPR approach" is not evidenced by the document that is supposed to carry it, so this listing records gdprStatus as PARTIAL rather than COMPLIANT, and treats the hosting location and safeguards as unverified rather than assuming them from the marketing copy.
The Company
Appload Solutions S.L., Calle Bethencourt Alfonso 33, 7º, 38002 Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. Terms of Service are governed by Spanish law with the courts at the company's seat as the agreed venue.
Where It Fits
Against Doodle, TuCalendi is far smaller and more affordable, with straightforward per-seat pricing at €8/month rather than an enterprise-scale platform. Against Calendly itself, the appeal is being a small, EU-registered, EU-funded alternative, but the documentation has not yet caught up to that positioning. See also meeting scheduling.
