NotesPrivacy policy states data is transferred to and processed in Germany, and names Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) as the hosting sub-processor. The same sub-processor table also lists Amazon Web Services, Inc., Functional Software Inc. (Sentry) and OpenRouter, Inc. (all US) plus Paddle.com Market Limited (UK) and Fastmail Pty Ltd (Australia). The project is Ukrainian: European, but outside the EU and EEA, so EU jurisdiction does not apply to the vendor itself even though the data sits in Germany.

Swetrix GDPR & data protection: common questions

Is Swetrix GDPR compliant?

Partly. Swetrix meets some of the requirements, with caveats worth reading before you commit. Swetrix is based in Ukraine, outside the EU/EEA, and a Data Processing Agreement is published. Every claim on this page links to the vendor's own documentation.

Where does Swetrix store data?

Swetrix states: "If you are located outside Germany and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Germany and process it there.". Data is hosted in a location we have not been able to verify.

Does Swetrix offer a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)?

Yes. Swetrix publishes a DPA at https://swetrix.com/dpa. A DPA is required under Article 28 GDPR whenever a provider processes personal data on your behalf.

What a DPA has to cover

Is Swetrix a European company?

No. Swetrix is based in Ukraine, outside the EU/EEA. It may still be a sound choice (EU hosting and a signed DPA matter more than a flag) but the ownership is not European.
