How we reached this

Danish legal entity: Dixa ApS, company no. 36561009, Artillerivej 86, st. tv., 2300 Copenhagen S, Denmark, named in the Terms of Service (last updated 28 May 2025) and used as the notices address for disputes, read raw (curl, not WebFetch summary) 2026-09-07. Governing law Denmark, venue Copenhagen, for customers whose Order Form is with Dixa ApS; the Terms separately note a Dixa Inc. (Delaware) entity used for some contracts, governed by Delaware law instead, so the counterparty is not fixed to the Danish entity for every customer. PARTIAL rather than COMPLIANT: Dixa publishes a standalone DPA and a named sub-processor list, both real evidence, and states EU customers' databases are hosted in an EU datacenter, but the same sentence immediately adds "regardless hereof please note that you may be transferring your Customer Data and Personal Data to the United States for storage and processing by our service providers", which undercuts the EU-hosting promise for any customer relying on it. dataHostingLocation is GLOBAL rather than EU because both regions are explicitly in play. extraterritorialExposure is US_CLOUD_ACT on that same disclosure. sccInPlace true: the Terms state non-EU/EEA service providers must execute the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. dpaEvidence PUBLISHED: a standalone Data Processing Agreement is linked from the Terms ("Dixa's standard data processing agreement found here shall apply") and from the public Legal Hub at dixa.com/legal/data-processing-agreement. schremsIIRisk MEDIUM: SCCs are named as the safeguard but the sub-processor list is not itself individually assessed here. Terms also disclose a 5% compounding annual fee indexation applied automatically without separate notice, a commercial term worth flagging to a buyer independent of the compliance picture.

About Dixa

A Contact Centre Built Around One Screen

Dixa's pitch is unifying every channel a customer might use, phone included, into a single agent view rather than bolting a phone system onto a helpdesk. That is also its main differentiator against Intercom: Dixa bundles Voice Communication as a native channel alongside email, chat, social and WhatsApp, rather than selling it as a separate add-on.

What Is In the Platform

  • Team Hub: every conversation, every channel, one screen
  • Workflow Automation: routing, automation and prioritisation rules
  • Performance & QA: quality assurance scoring and performance insights
  • Channels: phone, email, chat, social and WhatsApp, unified
  • Mim AI Agent: resolves inquiries autonomously, billed separately per conversation
  • Phone AI Co-Pilot and Advanced Insights on higher tiers

Pricing

Three published tiers: Growth at €89/agent/month, Ultimate at €139/agent/month, and Prime at €179/agent/month, all including the full channel set (phone, email, chat, social) natively rather than as a paid add-on. The Mim AI Agent is priced separately at roughly €0.35 per AI-resolved conversation. Terms of Service note a further wrinkle: fees carry a 5% compounding annual indexation applied automatically on each Order Form anniversary, which is worth budgeting for on a multi-year contract.

The Danish Entity, and a Documented Crack in the EU-Hosting Story

Operated by Dixa ApS, company registration number 36561009, Artillerivej 86, st. tv., 2300 Copenhagen S, Denmark. Governing law is Denmark, courts of Copenhagen, for any customer whose Order Form is with Dixa ApS (a separate Dixa Inc., Delaware, entity exists for some US-market contracts).

Dixa publishes more compliance documentation than most vendors in this directory: a standalone Data Processing Agreement, a named sub-processor list, a GDPR compliance page and a security/data page, all linked from a dedicated Legal Hub.

The hosting claim, though, is qualified in the same breath it's made. The privacy policy states:

The Dixa Services are hosted in the United States or EU. EU customers' databases will be hosted in our EU datacenter, however, regardless hereof please note that you may be transferring your Customer Data and Personal Data to the United States for storage and processing by our service providers.

So the EU-datacenter promise for EU customers is immediately qualified by a blanket acknowledgement that data may go to the US anyway via service providers. The Terms of Service confirm Standard Contractual Clauses are the safeguard for that transfer: "Dixa's non-EU/EEA service providers shall fulfil an approved adequacy mechanism, such as having executed the EU Commission approved standard contractual clauses."

Where It Fits

The direct comparison is Intercom itself, which Dixa markets against explicitly (Dixa vs Zendesk, vs Intercom, vs Freshdesk are all published comparison pages on Dixa's own site). Dixa's edge is native phone/voice bundled at every tier; Intercom's is a larger app ecosystem and more mature AI copilot tooling. See also Tidio in Live Chat & Chatbots.

Key Features

Team Hub: phone, email, chat, social and WhatsApp in one agent screen
Native Voice Communication included at every tier, not a paid add-on
Workflow Automation Builder for routing and prioritisation
Quality Assurance and Performance & QA insights
Mim AI Agent for autonomous resolution, billed per conversation
Phone AI Co-Pilot and Advanced Insights on higher tiers
Published DPA and named sub-processor list via a dedicated Legal Hub

Pros & Cons

Phone/voice bundled natively at every tier rather than sold as an add-on
Publishes a standalone DPA and a named sub-processor list, ahead of most competitors here
Danish entity and Copenhagen venue for the default Order Form counterparty
Explicit SCC commitment for service providers outside the EU/EEA
Clear published three-tier pricing with no quote-only paywall
EU-datacenter promise for EU customers is qualified by a blanket US-transfer disclosure in the same clause
5% compounding annual fee indexation applied automatically, without separate notice
Mim AI Agent billed per conversation on top of the per-agent seat price
A second Dixa Inc. (Delaware) entity exists for some contracts, so the governing law is not fixed to Denmark for every customer
€89-179/agent/month is a per-seat model that scales quickly for larger teams

Dixa GDPR & data protection: common questions

Is Dixa GDPR compliant?

Partly. Dixa meets some of the requirements, with caveats worth reading before you commit. Dixa is a European company headquartered in Denmark, data is hosted across multiple regions globally, and a Data Processing Agreement is published.

Where does Dixa store data?

Dixa states: ""The Dixa Services are hosted in the United States or EU. EU customers' databases will be hosted in our EU datacenter, however, regardless hereof please note that you may be transferring your Customer Data and Personal Data to the United States for storage and processing by our service providers" (dixa.com/legal/privacy, last updated 25 November 2021, read raw 2026-09-07).". Data is hosted across multiple regions globally. An EU region is available.

Does Dixa offer a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)?

Yes. Dixa publishes a DPA at https://www.dixa.com/legal/data-processing-agreement. A DPA is required under Article 28 GDPR whenever a provider processes personal data on your behalf.

What a DPA has to cover

Is Dixa a European company?

Yes. Dixa is headquartered in Denmark and, as far as we can establish, European-owned.

Is Dixa subject to the US CLOUD Act?

Indirectly. Dixa itself is European-owned and headquartered in Denmark, so the company is not subject to US jurisdiction. The exposure runs through a US provider in its processing chain, a host, CDN or other sub-processor, which can be compelled to disclose data it holds even when that data sits on EU servers. That is a narrower exposure than a US-owned vendor, and the compliance notes above say which provider it is. Standard Contractual Clauses are in place for transfers, which is the required safeguard but does not override a lawful US order.

Schrems II compliance checklist

Who are Dixa's sub-processors?

Dixa publishes its sub-processor list at https://www.dixa.com/legal/3rd-party-services-used-by-dixa. Worth reading: a vendor hosting in the EU can still route data through non-EU sub-processors, which is where residency claims usually come apart.

Spotted something wrong?

Martech moves fast. Vendors change hosting regions, get acquired, publish a new DPA or rewrite their pricing, and they rarely announce it. We check what we publish and date every compliance review, but some of what you see here will be out of date before we catch it.

If you work at Dixa and something on this page is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Readers, same invitation. Pointing us at the page that proves it gets it changed fastest.
