How we reached this

Published by SELLSY SAS, named in the legal notices at go.sellsy.com/informations-legales/mentions-legales. Data is stated to be stored on Sellsy's own servers within Scaleway's French infrastructure, Scaleway being a French-owned host, so no US provider holds the data: exposure NONE and Schrems II risk LOW. The site now states "Sellsy fait maintenant partie de TeamSystem", an Italian group, so the immediate parent is EU-based and the tool remains EU-owned. Ownership above TeamSystem was not verified in this review and buyers who care about the full chain should ask, since a group acquisition is exactly when hosting arrangements change. GDPR status is PARTIAL because no data processing agreement or sub-processor list is published at a public URL.

About Sellsy

CRM and Billing on One Record

Sellsy covers the commercial cycle end to end: prospect, quote, order, invoice, payment, dunning, with marketing automation and a customer portal around it. Like Axonaut, it reflects a French view of what business software is, where the CRM and the accounting are the same product rather than two systems joined by an integration.

It is heavier than Axonaut and aimed at slightly larger companies, with more configurable pipelines, quotas and reporting.

Data on French Servers

Sellsy's data security page is unusually specific: "Vos données sont stockées sur nos propres serveurs, hébergés dans l'infrastructure de Scaleway", data stored on Sellsy's own servers hosted in Scaleway's infrastructure. It notes Scaleway's ISO/IEC 27001 certification and even publishes the average PUE of its data centres.

Own servers on a French sovereign host is the strongest infrastructure position available in this category. No American company holds the data, so there is no CLOUD Act reach over the hosting and no transfer to document.

The Ownership Footnote

Sellsy's own site now carries the line "Sellsy fait maintenant partie de TeamSystem". TeamSystem is an Italian business software group, so the parent is still inside the EU and the data stays where it was.

Ownership beyond the Italian parent was not verified for this listing. Buyers for whom the full ownership chain matters, rather than just the jurisdiction of the immediate parent, should ask. Group acquisitions are precisely the moment when a hosting arrangement can change, and the security page describes the arrangement as it stands today.

The Gap

As with most French SME software, no DPA or sub-processor list is published at a public URL. Request the Article 28 agreement directly.

Spotted something wrong?

Martech moves fast. Vendors change hosting regions, get acquired, publish a new DPA or rewrite their pricing, and they rarely announce it. We check what we publish and date every compliance review, but some of what you see here will be out of date before we catch it.

If you work at Sellsy and something on this page is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Readers, same invitation. Pointing us at the page that proves it gets it changed fastest.
